  3. How can I convert my profile to a Facebook business page? Transforming your Facebook page into a business page on Facebook can be done in less than five minutes in your page settings' "Basic Information" section.

  4. How much does a Facebook business page cost? NOTHING. That's right - a Facebook business page is free.

The Ultimate Facebook Checklist for success in the Twin Cities


The success of your Facebook business page depends on these few best practices. 97% of consumers find local businesses online first. Let Minnesotans know where you are locally, and check out the ultimate Facebook checklist for your business.

  1. Create a page - if you don't already have a Facebook business page, follow this link: Go to facebook.com/pages/create and select the type of Page you want to create.

  2. Add a profile picture - on your Page, click the camera icon on your profile image's bottom-right. Here are some tips on how to choose and edit your profile picture: click here.

  3. Add a cover photo - The cover photo is the large background photo appearing at the top of your Timeline and the first thing people will see when landing on your brand's Page.

  1. Identify tabs within your Facebook business page (full image below):

    2. Inbox - Through Inbox, you" be able to read and respond to messages that your business receives through Messenger or Instagram Direct, as well as comments on your Facebook and Instagram posts.

    3. Notifications - Notifications keep you up to date on your business's latest activity. You can choose how you want to receive each type of notification or turn them off.

    4. Insights - Facebook Page Insights shows you what actions people take on your website, from interacting with posts to clicking on your contact information to clicking through to your website.

    5. Publishing tools - create, edit or publish a draft of a post for your Facebook page. What can you do here? Create events, upload videos, tagging, and connect other accounts (Instagram).

    6. Promotions - Page promotions are Facebook ads you create directly from your business Page, in contrast to ads you can make in Ads Manager.

  1. Change your business page template - Optimize your new Facebook page layout so that the call-to-action is prominent and customizable.

  2. Facebook business page username - Your Page's username will appear below your Page's name and in your Page's URL to help people find and remember your Page. If the username you want is already taken or not approved, you'll need to choose a different one. Make sure the username you're trying to create follows the guidelines for custom usernames.

  3. Add a Call-to-Action Button - The button encourages people to take an important action to your business, such as booking appointments or shopping on your website.

  4. Review your Page as a visitor - This is a must! If you make adjustments/changes to your Facebook page, you should always review your Page as a visitor to see how fans/customers will also see when they land on your Facebook page.
